Planning a Kitchen or Bedroom in Spalding
Getting to you in Spalding
Spalding is around 18 miles from our Brassey Close workshop, typically 30 to 35 minutes via the A16 through Crowland. We cover Spalding and the surrounding South Holland villages as part of our regular area, with the same in-house team handling design, manufacture and installation.
The homes we see in Spalding
Spalding has a strong mix of housing: Georgian and Victorian properties along the River Welland and around the town centre, and large numbers of more modern homes on the newer estates around the town. Older houses often have tall ceilings and chimney alcoves that suit full-height fitted furniture, while modern homes reward clever use of every centimetre.
What that means for your project
Fenland ground can mean older properties have moved slightly over the years, so floors and walls are often out of level. We allow for that in our measurements and use adjustable legs, scribed fillers and made-to-measure panels so doors and drawers line up properly. Your 3D design shows exactly how each run will sit before anything is made.
Which of our services suit Spalding homes
Spalding's Georgian and Victorian houses, with their tall ceilings and deep alcoves, are made for full-height fitted wardrobes, dressing rooms and kitchens with tall larder units that use the whole wall. The town and the South Holland villages also have a large number of bungalows, where fitted bedroom furniture, hallway storage and a kitchen with everything at a comfortable working height make daily life easier. On the newer estates, we are most often asked for made-to-measure kitchens with better corner storage, a utility to keep the kitchen clear, and sliding wardrobes for smaller bedrooms. Media walls and fitted home offices are increasingly popular across all types of home. You will see every option in a photorealistic 3D design before you decide.
