The ABJ Journey

ABJ Kitchens & Bedrooms was founded with a clear vision: to challenge the generic, flat-pack culture of the high street kitchen market. We saw too many homeowners compromising on design to fit standard cabinet sizes, or paying extortionate fees for "bespoke" labels that were simply rebranded standard units.

We chose a different path. We invested heavily in our own manufacturing facility right here in Peterborough. This wasn't the easy route, but it was the only way to guarantee the quality we demanded.

By controlling the entire process—from the initial 3D design to the cutting of the board and the final installation—we eliminate the delays, damage, and miscommunications that plague the industry. There are no sales agents on commission here; just passionate designers and skilled makers.

Advanced CNC Technology

Our computer-numerical-control (CNC) machines cut boards to within 0.1mm accuracy. This ensures that when we come to install your wardrobe or kitchen, every joint is tight, every line is straight, and every door hangs perfectly.

Homag Edgebanding

We use industry-leading Homag edgebanding technology to apply durable, moisture-resistant edges to our panels. This creates a seamless finish that protects your furniture from daily wear and tear for decades.

Premium Material Partners

We only process high-density boards from trusted suppliers like Egger, Kronospan, and Xylocleaf. We pair these with world-class hinges and drawer runners from Blum and Hettich to ensure that "soft-close" really means whisper-quiet.

We believe beautiful furniture shouldn't cost the earth. Our workshop operates a strict waste-reduction policy. We optimise our cutting patterns to minimise board waste, and any offcuts are recycled responsibly. By manufacturing locally in Peterborough, we also significantly reduce the carbon footprint compared to importing flat-pack furniture from overseas.
